And thank you for noticing. That was actually a very intentional part of my approach in this particular context. Live photos after while all can become pretty redundant, so in this scenario I wanted to focus on the perspective of the sitting audience member - or the casual passerby - and tell the story of how they might have immediately found Doug's writing magnetic and compelling as I did. There was quite a bit of light but it was pretty direct up front (and vicious and orange) so I needed to find the spaces where the shadows framed it best.
