The self-proclaimed “9-Piece Anti-Orchestral Ensemble” Mount Righteous from nearby Grapevine has been nominated “Best Group” and “Best Avant-Garde/Experimental Group” in this year’s Dallas Observer Music Awards, and properly followed local electronica favorite Ishi on the Trees stage showcase Saturday night.

Ryan Thomas Becker and Grady Don Sandlin — makeup of the Denton duo RTB2 — were recently nominated for a number of local music awards by Dallas Observer. On Saturday night, they played the nominee showcase at Trees here in Dallas.
